95 days ago Animals Newtownabbey, Antrim 41 View

Description

Charlie is a 1-year-old French Bulldog. He has a lovely personality; his burst of energy are short lived and then loves to sleep as close as possible to the fire. He doesn’t like the cold.

He currently lives with two older male dogs, a cocker spaniel and a cockapoo. He owner lives in the countryside and up a large lane, so they all have free run and would never be on a lead unless going to the vets. He went through a period of skin irritation back in march 2024 and was treated with steroid injections and a special diet. The skin condition is now back to normal and he no longer requires medication or the special diet, however he is feed AVA salmon and rice and it works well for him. He casts but that is normal for his breed.
He has grown up around older children.

Charlie would benefit from training, he can sit when asked but hasn’t been taught recall. He’s still young and would pick up new commands quickly. He is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and licensed. The owner’s circumstances have changed a lot and he is closed in most of the day. He needs a loving family who has the time to give to him.

If you are interested in offering him a home, please email us to animalrescuetrust@hotmail.com answering the following questions for us to see if he would suit you:
- have you any other pets?
- have you had any other animals before?
- have you any dog training experience?
- where would he stay?
- would he be kept inside or kept outside?
- if you have a garden nd is it secure?
- have you any young children? If so what are their age(s)
- if you live in rented accommodation, does your landlord permit pets?
- would he have company or would he be left on his own for long periods?
Home check will be carried out.
NB. She is being rehomed through our Matchmaking Service -https://www.7thheaven.org.uk/matchmaking-service and is with his owner while we find him a new home
